Currently studying Master of Fine Art (MFA) at EBA - UFRJ - Rio de Janeiro. He is a Research fellow at CAPES (Program for Academic Excellence) and Fine Art Graduate at the IA - UNESP - São Paulo (2003).

In September 2023 he was invited by curators Paulo Herkenhoff and Leno Veras for the exhibition "Fourth Generation Constructive" at FGV Arte in Rio de Janeiro. In March 2023, he opened the solo exhibition "Pintura Forjada" at Sesc Nova Friburgo - RJ with a critical text by Paula Borghi. In 2023 he participated in the exhibition "Vibrações" curated by Paulo Venancio Filho at Tropigalpão - RJ. In 2021 Magila was invited by curator Giancarlo Hannud to do the solo exhibition "Intervenções XIII" at the Lasar Segall Museum in São Paulo. In 2020 Magila he was selected for the 21st International Biennial of Cerveira in Portugal. In 2019, he was awarded a prize at the 23º Festival Cultura Inglesa with the solo exhibition “Tudo é dissimulado”. Also in 2019 he created the site-specifc "Kauptukai" at 2º Festival Labas at the Ema Klabin Foundation in São Paulo.
