Ricardo Luiz Homen is a painter and draftsman. He studied Fine Arts at the Guignard School in Belo Horizonte during the 1980s. He has dedicated himself to painting as a continuous and vital part of his creative process, employing simplified yet powerful forms. Rather than being strictly geometric, these forms represent relationships between color, shape, and spatial organization, inviting the viewer to experience sensations and explore their meanings.

His career includes notable group and solo exhibitions in Belo Horizonte, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, and Salvador, such as "Panorama do Desenho Atual" (1990) at MAM/SP; exhibitions at the Centro Cultural São Paulo (1990, 1997, and 2003); and "Mostra BR/80 Pintura Brasil Década 80" at the Instituto Itaú Cultural in Belo Horizonte (1991). He also exhibited at the Museu de Arte da Pampulha (MAP) in 1990 and presented "Tangenciando Amilcar, Diálogos" in Porto Alegre in 2002. In 2009, he presented the exhibition "Geometria Impura" at the Centro Cultural Hélio Oiticica (Rio de Janeiro), MAM Salvador, Palácio das Artes (Belo Horizonte), and in Recife. He participated in the exhibition "Anos 80 nos 80 anos" (organized by the Fundação Escola Guignard in Belo Horizonte) and exhibited at the Museu da Inconfidência inOuro Preto in 2025.
